After ten years of classical guitar studies, notably at the Montreal Conservatory of Music from 1976 to 1979, Robin Grenon discovered his passion for the harp in 1977, which he studied with Eralio Gill in Montreal and Alfredo Rolando Ortiz in California.
In 1996 he formed a harp duo with Gisèle Guibord, together they recorded: Djiguedon (2001), Trace d’Ange (2004), Marian Suite (2006), Harp from Paraguay (2007) Close to You (2008), Beatles Melodies and Harps from Ireland (2010). Since 1998 Robin has collaborated in several productions by La Nef with whom he recorded Perceval, The Quest for the Grail (1999 & 2001), My Love is like a Red, Red Rose (2004) and Oikan ayns Bethlehem: Celtic Christmas (2005).
As guest performer and teacher he was invited at The International Folk Harp Conference in Seattle, The Toronto HarpFest and The Northern Lights Harp Fest in Ottawa. Co-founder and musical director of the ensemble Harpissimo-Québec, Robin Grenon also contributes to the development of this ancient instrument in Quebec.
